Qualifications
5-10 years' workplace experience within the Automotive technical training or after-sales business or Automotive manufacturing.
Relevant technical qualification relating to vehicle diagnosis, testing and repair procedures, business strategy, or related field.
Extensive experience in the automotive industry, with a strong background in technical training, service, or sales roles.
Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, instructional design, and training delivery methodologies, particularly in a multicultural or international context. Good familiarity with automotive technical training processes (e.g. Training Planning, Delivery, Development, and Supervision).
Good knowledge of vehicle diagnostics methods and practices.
Computer literacy and competency with basic Microsoft Office applications.
Proficiency in English and local languages.
Responsibilities
Operation of Technical Training Center on a day-to-day basis
Ensure and maintain training facility tools & equipment, teaching aids, and training vehicles for readiness and safety.
Conduct daily, quarterly, and yearly Training Facility Safety Audits.
Manage training material readiness for classroom training (printing for student guides, student worksheets, and tests).
Coordinate and manage ordering of meals and coffee breaks for trainees prior to training dates (for markets that offer complimentary lunches & snacks).
Coordinate and work with Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to improve training class fill rates.
Arrange technician surveys for training improvement with action plans.
Conduct monthly technical training governance meetings and provide appropriate plans and solutions.
Provide Helpdesk service to dealers for training operations and coordinate with related teams; Standardized Training and Resource System (STARS), FSE, SEO for that concern.
Support SEO budget preparation and approval for Facility CAPEX (Asset) & OPEX (Training Variable cost).
Training Planning and Calendar
Work with the central STARS team on the Training Calendar.
Review Training Calendar and make adjustments based on vehicle planned or timing changes to meet all deadlines.
Communicate the Training Calendar to dealers (announcement in advance 3 months prior to the scheduled course date via notification email or dealer bulletin to dealerships, including support information such as training venue location and hotels).
Technical Training Courses Readiness
Cooperate with the Technical training development or design team for new training course implementation in the market (Curriculum, New Model Training (NMT), FIRFT).
Review technical training materials and market relevant adjustments that retain high quality of technical training such as curriculum, new model training, and market special courses to improve FIRFT in markets.
Conduct training material translation review, feedback, and rectification (local language) and support trainer voice-over process for eLearning development.
Develop special training courses or short training sessions to support FIRFT based on market requirements.
Cooperate with the STARS team for technician certification paths and deliver the transition plan to implement new training courses in the market.
Trainer Skill Improvement Development
Provide assessment and improve the overall training performance and quality of the training program.
Further trainer skill development, provide coaching, evaluation, and conduct trainer development plans to improve and maintain trainer performance.
Manage and implement Train the Trainer events to suit market requirements.
Program Support
Deliver the reward and recognition program plan and implementation in applicable markets.
Deliver and support a School to Work program (Apprentice program) in applicable markets.
Deliver technician entry programs such as Bridge programs for technicians from other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) entering Ford.
Support Skill Competitions (market-specific).
