Technical Specialist

The Technical Specialist Construction Equipment will be responsible for providing technical  expertise, support, and training for our range of construction equipment.
This role involves diagnosing  and resolving technical issues, conducting maintenance and repair, and ensuring optimal  performance of equipment in the field.
Key Responsibilities: 1.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to customers and internal teams regarding the operation,  maintenance, and troubleshooting of construction equipment Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly and accurately.
Liaise with manufacturers for advanced technical support and warranty claims.

Maintenance and Repair: Conduct regular maintenance and repair of construction equipment to ensure optimal  performance and safety.
Perform inspections and preventative maintenance tasks.
Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.
3.
Training and Development: Develop and deliver technical training programs for customers and internal staff.
Create training materials and manuals.
Stay updated with the latest technical advancements and industry trends.
4.
Customer Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
Address customer inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
5.
Product Testing and Feedback: Participate in product testing and provide feedback to the product development team.
Assist in the evaluation and implementation of new equipment and technologies.
6.
Compliance and Safety: Ensure all activities comply with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the team.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a technical role within the construction equipment  industry.
Strong technical knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct training sessions and create training materials.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.
Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as needed.
Preferred Skills: Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
Certification in equipment maintenance and repair.
Working Conditions: Full-time position based in Johannesburg  May require occasional travel for training, conferences, or client support.
On-call availability for urgent technical support issues.
