Technical Sales Representative – Pretoria, Mpumalanga and EswatiniA vacancy exists for experienced, entrepreneurial, dynamic sales representatives to grow sales and manage existing customers in predetermined parts of Pretoria, Mpumalanga, and Eswatini areas for Grinding Techniques, a well-known manufacturer of abrasives products and part of the Tyrolit group of companies.INTERESTED APPLICANTS WILL BE REQUIRED TOResearch, develop, manage, and drive implementation of account plans to maximize current business and the development of new business opportunities and growth.Take full accountability for the achievement of revenue streams, profitability, and volume growth for direct accounts in the portfolio.Manage and administer contractual obligations, pricing, and other requirements of accounts in the portfolio.Seek opportunities to reduce costs and develop sustainable partnerships with customers.Minimize potential channel conflict with the ultimate goal of eliminating it.Develop processes to measure, track, report, and communicate account performance.Develop reporting mechanisms highlighting competitor activities and market movements.Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis on existing and potential customers.Conduct cold calling at new/potential customers and implement a focused growth strategy for existing customers.Analyze market potentials, track sales, and status reports.Meet and exceed sales budgets (volume & revenue).Actively manage the debtor's book for the allocated sales portfolios.Establish and maintain positive business and customer relationships.Ensure adherence to company policy and procedures.Service and further develop existing customer base.Participate in open days/trade shows with the ability to conduct product demonstrations.Comply with the company's planning, reporting, and customer management structures.Adhere to the company price list and discount structures.Assist with the Annual Stock Take, which may be conducted over a weekend.Control stock and expenditure within agreed limits.Maintain general tidiness of allocated office space and vehicle.Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.Conduct general housekeeping and administration associated with the position.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSThe successful applicant must have:A technical qualification and/or 5-7 years proven sales experience in a technical field.A valid driver's license.Willingness to travel.Knowledge of the abrasive industry would be an advantage.SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTStrong negotiation skills.MS Office literacy (Intermediate to Advanced).CRM management, call planning, and sales reporting.Resilient and resourceful personality.Conflict management skills.Strong business acumen.Entrepreneurial flair with excellent time management skills.The successful applicant should preferably reside in the Witbank or Middelburg and surrounding areas and must be a self-starter with the ability to prioritize, formulate, and execute business plans. The ability to function as part of a team as well as individually is critical. Integrity, credibility, trustworthiness, and professionalism are non-negotiable.
