Key Responsibilities:Safety - ensuring that the Fire and Emergency department conforms to the safety regulations of MondiInsurance Actions – Actively driving and coordinating all risk actions as identified by Mondi's Risk partnersOperational Risk Management – Actively identifying major events that can lead to high risks and advising managementFire protection – Ensuring that the mill is adequately able to prevent fires as well as be protected from firesResponsible for fire systems maintenance across the millSafety and risk management - GMR2.7A AppointmentLead technical risk strategy optimisation across the millRCFA and deviation analysis and managementCoordinate fire and emergency execution across the millReporting (KPIs, Cost, Technical risk Execution; Legal Compliance)Propose and manage maintenance budget and capex requirementsDefine Technical risk needs, manage handover and ensure capex approvalSet up and control standards compliance across the millContractor managementParticipate in audits (internal; internal group; insurance; environmental; safety) and ensure actions are closed.Perform standby duties as requiredYour Profile:Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (NQF 8) or equivalentEngineering Management (incl Project Management), Maintenance Management (incl Shutdown and Asset management)5 years of experience as a Risk Manager or equivalentHigh focus on legal compliance and understanding of applicable lawsGMR2.7A appointment – Track record of handling legal duties and experience at management levelExperienced in Pulp & Paper or equivalent technologiesExperienced in team dynamics and supervision, HR & IR Management, management systems & tools, budget and cost control, change management, process control, legal compliance, customer support, conflict management, and communication.Achievements in the completion of large projects | shutdowns or have carried responsibility for a major industrial site's departmentsSound understanding of the management of engineering disciplines and how it is inter-linked.Strong people management skills with a robust technical backgroundWe Offer:Duration: PermanentGet in Touch:We strive to create a culture that inspires our people to reach their full potential.
