Position OutputsGather relevant data to support failure / condition reportsCompile failure / condition reports to conform to BRC quality standardsCreate SIMS reports for all repairsProvide technical representatives with sufficient information to complete the root cause analysis processUtilise appropriate technology to develop own competence e.g. Cat DPC, etc.Perform root cause analysis of failed components and partsAdvise and assist in failure analysis outcomesDevelop expertise in analysing failures by coachingAnalyse and record failures and final results captured in databaseCompile informative failure analysis reports and feedback to all relevant partiesProvide expert technical support for Warranty resolutionEnsure proper implementation and using of parts reusability guidelinesEnsure effective self-management and performance ownershipMinimum Required QualificationQualified Artisan (Mechanic in relevant trade e.g. Diesel Mechanic / Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Mechanic)More than 3 years post qualification experience in field service, workshop or component rebuild environmentMinimum of 2 years' experience in rebuilding of transmissions, drivetrain and hydraulic componentsTroubleshooting experience will be an added advantageComputer literacy (MS Office and applicable Caterpillar Software e.g. SIS, ET, VIMS, Scrap Barrel Analysis)Completion of applied failure analysis courses (AFA 1 & 2)SOS interpretation will be an added advantage
