Technical Procurement Officer

RAILWAY INDUSTRY Key Requirements: Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent N3 certification Recognise qualification in Procurement Management and/or Supply Chain Management A technical qualification, e.g. Diploma or Degree in Engineering will be an advantage Certification (CIPS- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply chain management) Experience, Knowledge and Skills: 5 years reliable experience in the logistics and/or rail maintenance industry At least 5 years experience in technical/buying relating to locomotives and/or yellow equipment At least 5 years experience in managing supplier relationship Knowledge of Sourcing, quality activity, proficiency in using procurement software and tools (ERP) Vendor management Cost reduction Contract Management Compliance and Risk Management Continuous Improvement Quality Cost delivery and Transformation/BBBEE
