Looking for a National Technical Manager in Pretoria with transportation industry experienceReference: PTA000525-CN-1Duties & ResponsibilitiesREQUIREMENTS:Tertiary qualification (must be a qualified mechanic)10-15 years' experienceComputer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)Must have a valid PassportMust have a valid driver's license (Code 14 preferably)Transportation industry experienceDUTIES:Management of unitsManage cent per kilometer of complete fleetIdentify and ensure the effective implementation of technical campaigns in order to achieve technical strategic goalsReview and approve technical priorities or needs with senior technical personnel on a weekly basisRecommendations and assistance with the buying and sign off of new fleet additions, as well as selling of old fleet.Ensure new coach is in accordance to Intercape standards and needs, prior to commissioning of the coachEnsure coaches that are sold are in an acceptable condition for the buyer.Ensure compliance of vehicle fitness for the entire fleet.Ensure Certificate of Fitness tests are done timeously for the entire fleet.Make sure all busses are in a presentable condition and cleaned as per standing instructionsFinancial ManagementProvide alternative solutions to technical problems and issues (breakdowns, delays on services, maintenance).Human Capital ManagementManage the Technical DivisionCurrent headcount of technical staffIdentify and plan for future needs for expansion of workforce and need for temporary/relief staffSalary and Overtime budgetTravel frequently to depots and other offices.Be physically involved in all technical related issues and be willing to spend time in the workshops.Have a proficient knowledge of the company, its divisions, associates, people, products, service and website.Package & RemunerationR900k - R1.1 mil - Annually
