Technical Manager OpportunityAn exceptional opportunity is available for a dedicated Technical Manager which offers a unique chance to lead and influence technical strategies and food safety standards at a strategic site level.Current residential location must be within the Western CapeDuties & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement strategic technical and food safety plans to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.Lead and mentor a team dedicated to maintaining and enhancing food quality and safety.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve processes and food safety and quality standards.Manage the day-to-day aspects of the site-based technical functions and oversee the FSMS systems, ensuring they are effective and up to date.Ensure audit compliance with respect to internal, external, legal, and customer requirements.Set and drive departmental KPI's and challenge improvement when required to ensure targets are achieved and improved.Ensure that customers' Codes of Practice are adhered to, and any changes are implemented and effectively communicated to the wider business.Desired Experience & QualificationA minimum of a BSc in Food Science is essential, alongside significant experience in a strategic site technical leadership role within the FMCG sector, to lead the technical and food safety initiatives, ensuring the highest standards are met and maintained within a dynamic poultry processing environment.Demonstrated experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry, ideally in a poultry processing environment, which will stand you in good stead.• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and drive technical excellence.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Package & Remuneration
