This LAB will be available to the services and GTM teams and used as an enabler to showcase our solutions in a live environment.
What you'll be doing As the IT Lab (Data Centre) Technical Lead, your responsibilities include:
Managing and Maintaining ICT Labs (Data Centre): Oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of the organization's ICT labs (Data Centre), ensuring all equipment, software, and network systems function efficiently.User Support and Resource Accessibility: Ensure users have seamless access to necessary resources within the ICT labs, troubleshoot issues, resolve technical problems, and provide support.Technical Leadership: Guide the technical team, provide mentorship, and set high standards for software quality, collaborating with developers, business analysts, and architects.Documentation and Reporting: Document lab operations, prepare reports, and maintain manuals.Budget Management: Allocate resources effectively and optimize costs.Key Role and Responsibilities: Maintaining ICT Labs (Data Centre):Ensure cleanliness, organization, and security of computer labs.Oversee installation and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals.Troubleshooting:Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues in the ICT labs.Address problems related to operating systems, applications, and network connectivity.User Support:Assist users in the ICT labs, set up user accounts, help with software installation, and provide application training.Software Management:Manage software licensing agreements and maintain an inventory of all software installed in the ICT labs.Security Management:Set up firewalls, install anti-virus software, and monitor network security.Vendor Management:Provide technical guidance regarding vendor capabilities and solutions, conduct vendor performance reviews, and manage contract negotiations.Documentation:Maintain records of hardware, software, licenses, warranties, and user manuals, and collaborate with developers to design testing plans.Knowledge, skills and attributes: Client Satisfaction and Service Delivery: Focus on ensuring client satisfaction and delivering high-quality service.Reliability and Quality Work: Consistently produce high-quality work.Effective Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proactive Management: Manage work processes proactively to achieve desired outcomes.People Management and Leadership: Skills in building and managing a team-oriented environment.Analytical Problem-Solving: Work creatively and analytically in solving complex problems.Quick Adaptation: Quickly become proficient in client processes.Process Improvement: Analyze, design, and improve business processes.Experience required, Academic Qualifications and Certifications: Storage and Virtualisation: Experience with VMware, storage area network technologies, Containers, Kubernetes, and Operating Systems like Linux and Microsoft.Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS: Understanding the differences between these services.Azure Certifications: AZ900 (Fundamentals)AZ104 (Administration)AZ304 and AZ305 (Architecture solutions)AZ500 (Security)AWS CertificationOperating Systems: Familiarity with Windows, MacOS, and Linux.Azure Application Management: Configuring, monitoring, and handling scaling scenarios for applications in Azure.Security and Authentication: Understanding advanced security features and authentication mechanisms.Backup Systems: 5+ years of experience in system backup and recovery methods.Continuity Infrastructure: Understanding continuity services and architecture patterns.Consulting and Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors.Market Trends and Solution Insights: Stay informed about market trends and explore new vendors.Hybrid Scenarios and DevOps: Experience with hybrid cloud scenarios and Agile/DevOps environments.Technical Presentations and Solution Proposals: Present technical solutions and write solution proposals.Growth Mindset and Continuous LearningWorkplace type: Hybrid Working
