Purpose of Position:
Responsible for the performance of the laboratory team and the laboratory's day-to-day functioning, ensuring operational goals are met, and high-quality standards are maintained.
Requirements:
Relevant HPCSA registration in Histology (Required), Relevant medical technology qualification/certification (Required)
Required Experience:
Knowledge: Meditech system, Knowledge of Ampath Safety, Health and Environment management policy
Key Responsibilities: Follow safety, storage and maintenance procedures in laboratory to ensure a clean and safe work environment.Maintain good client relations to promote the image of Ampath.Perform administration tasks in order to ensure effective administration systems in the laboratory.Perform general laboratory tasks in order to ensure the effective functioning of the laboratory.Perform special laboratory procedures in order to generate material that will ensure optimal diagnostic results.Receive and prepare specimens in order to produce slides that can be examined to render a diagnosis.Important Note:
