Purpose Of The JobThe 'Technical Infrastructure Manager' position is a hands-on technical/management role. The job is to plan, direct and design company IT infrastructure while simultaneously managing the IT team responsible for maintaining that infrastructure. The Infrastructure Manager is responsible for:- Managing all IT Infrastructure/ technologies across all sites Developing and establishing IT infrastructure standards and procedures. Managing IT infrastructure personnel. Frequently collaborate with colleagues in different departments. Organize projects related to computer network infrastructures. Analysis, design, deployment, and operations of IT Infrastructure software and hardware systems supporting the business. This position will work closely with the IT management team and business units to ensure alignment with the Company's objectives. IT Security Key Performance Areas: These responsibilities have been split into primary and secondary requirements based on importance of the role. PRIMARY Maintain and develop the IT Infrastructure and its related processes, policies and procedures.Ensure the capacity and availability of business systems are managed, maintained and continuously improved.Responsible for network (WAN, LAN, MPLS) and other technology platforms and to ensure they are available, secure, stable and resilient. Support of helpdesk for appropriate level requests. Maintain and be responsible for the overall security of the Company's network, systems, and data Assist in management and expansion of the corporate storage infrastructure. Support of design and expansion of data archiving systems. Support of backup infrastructure and execution. Management and maintenance of corporate data centre facility: Consolidation and virtualization of data centre systems. Centralization of compute and storage components in remote offices. Server room vitalization SECONDARY Oversee all aspects of IT infrastructure, Communication (LAN, WAN, MPLS, QoS)Manage the day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure services including system uptime, reporting service levels, defining and tracking Assist partner to maintain strict controls on data / system backups and recoverability. Ensures high availability of critical business systems hosted by the Company. Setup and configuration of dashboards & reports. Setup of proactive monitoring tools Capacity planning plus service continuity Provide relevant metrics and status to management: Manage overall capacity utilization of the server room, ups and generator hardware environment ensuring it is optimized to meet business requirements. Develop and implement hardware and software standards for network, wireless technology, file and print services, etc. Develop, implement, and maintain processes and procedures (SOP's). Managing, training and developing staff, ensuring high levels of employee engagement and the opportunity for upward growth with increased responsibility Prepare cost estimates of IT infrastructure/budgets. Be "on-call" for systems emergencies such as severe weather, power outages, and hardware/software failures Researching and recommending improvements to current processes and procedures and providing input on global Take ownership of Infrastructure projects and manage resources and delivery. POST REQUIREMENTS: Degree preferred – Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent Network specific & specialized Certifications (e.g. CCNA, Aruba etc.) Other Network Qualifications (e.g. HP, UBNT, Fortinet, etc.) 5 Years experience in a management position 5 Years experience with infrastructure networking on a large, enterprise scale 5 Years experience in multiple areas of IT infrastructure such as operating systems, networking and security.APPLICABLE WORK EXPERIENCE: Microsoft Core Infrastructure Highly developed analytical skills and be a strong troubleshooter. Strong IT Governance and Security Knowledge and Experience (incl. Firewalls and Web Security) Good people skills and the ability to interact and communicate effectively across all levels of the organizationExpert working knowledge of major networking components, network operating systems, network protocols, Firewall technology and services (DHCP, DNS, etc.) ADVANTAGEOUS: Experience of Skype for Business including enterprise voice features or similar Unified Communications Access control Systems & Hardware Endpoint management (ESET) Backup Solutions (CommVault) CCTV Surveillance systems ITIL (IT Service Management)
