Role responsibilities Work collaboratively within Zutari to achieve goals.Client facing role.Prepare proposals and make presentations.Monthly reporting function across projects.Ensure substantiation of designs.Define, maintain and work to a project scope, design criteria and schedule.Manage drawing liaison and provide general engineering support.Manage and co-ordinate technical interfaces on projects.Generation of Tender and Project documentation and costings.Technical support during manufacturing, construction and quality assurance procedure.Provide support during trouble shooting.To know, understand, define, maintain and ensure work is executed to a project scope of work and general plant design criteria and specifications.Apply knowledge of statutory requirements and experience of similar projects.Ensure regular interaction between relevant parties and disciplines on a Project.Be aware of, and work to, the project budget.Site Involvement – Support to the Construction and Commissioning phases as and when required.Business generation: Maintain relationships with existing key Clients.Generate follow on work from existing current projects.Explore new Clients.Proper timely and accurate financial controls; participation in month planning and month-end recon, drive earned value to benefit of project.Coordinate and drive growth initiatives.GAUZARSM operations - Drive Operational improvement and the way we deliver Projects.Of vital importance is the mindset of delivery and Client satisfaction. A pro-active approach is required to "do what it takes" to deliver Projects on time, on budget and without complaint.Actively display a culture of CARE.Contribute to the GAUZARSM leadership team.Off – shoring. Develop key relationships and build reputation through delivery excellence. Specific to Mech space.Qualifications Engineering Degree or relevant qualification.A minimum of 15 years relevant experience including experience of lump sum turn-key type projects, EPCM projects and studies in the mining and materials handling sector.Delivering front end engineering study work.Technical design and design management experience.Relevant project management and/or engineering management and/or design experience in relation to large projects in a mining, industrial or energy environment.Experience in large multi-disciplinary projects.Experience in the management systems applicable to the management and reporting on large and/or EPCM and EPC projects.Ability to lead projects, develop business and manage client relationships.Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills.Formal Qualification B Eng (Mechanical Engineering) or B Tech (Mechanical Engineering).Professionally Registered as an Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa.Computer Competency Requirements MS Office Suite.BMH design package (Sidewinder) and experience of conveyor dynamic analysis.Flow simulation and 3D package experience will be advantageous.We believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
