Ensure that repairs and maintenance to machinery are carried out in accordance with technical specifications, company OEM standards, and approved practices.Job RequirementsGrade 12 or NQF Level 4The incumbent must have a certified trade qualificationMinimum of 5 years' experience required after the trade certificate was awardedExperience with Triumph or bag-making machines/industry will be advantageousKnowledge of asset care and maintenance is requiredSkillsTechnical Expertise in machinery maintenance, particularly in the bag-making industry or similar manufacturing environmentsProblem-Solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues quicklyLeadership and Team Management to effectively manage staff and tasksBudget Management experience, with a focus on managing OPEX and CAPEXInnovation and Continuous Improvement to drive advanced maintenance systems and process enhancementsDuties And ResponsibilitiesResponsible for managing the technical department and its staff, ensuring that the required work is done on time, in full, and to the required standardsResponsible for ensuring that the required planned/preventative and operator maintenance is scheduled and completedRequired to perform physical maintenance work on equipmentSetting up a critical spare parts list and aligning the maintenance spares store with these parts (stock)Develop ideas to prevent breakdowns within the plant, moving towards more planned and preventative maintenance rather than just performing breakdown repairsWork closely with the production planner and production managerEnsure power and water supply to the plant is stable and in working conditionDraw up and manage the technical budget, including both OPEX and CAPEXFocus on innovation and the transition to systems of OEM maintenance and parts storagePerform any other duties as required by management
