Job Description:Assist engineers and maintenance with design, development, and technical tasksAnalyze data to identify process improvements and resolve technical issuesEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulationsContribute to product/system development and conduct tests to validate changesIdentify areas for improvement in engineering processesSupport the implementation of new systems/software to enhance productivityMaintain records of changes and outcomesManage GMs schedule and coordinate meetings/travelDraft communications and prepare meeting materialsAttend meetings, take minutes, and follow up on actionsOrganize and maintain engineering recordsMonitor project progress and track tasks to ensure timely completionCoordinate resources (equipment, materials) for projectsAct as a liaison between engineering and other departmentsManage technical supplies and inventoryOrder materials as required for projectsEnsure compliance with health and safety standardsMaintain cleanliness and safety in work areasReport safety hazards, accidents, and incidentsApply quality standards and maintain GMPComply with site-specific food safety standards and report hazardsAssess strengths and areas for improvement and take actionStay updated on innovations and technical advancementsPromote teamwork and leadership skillsEnsure team members know how to find information when youre unavailableFollow company principles and lead by example in behavior and work ethic Skills & Experience: 2-5 Years' relevant experienceStrong understanding of technical drawings and schematicsKnowledge of fault finding and equipment testing methodsIn-depth understanding of health and safety (H&S) procedures and safe working practicesTechnical expertise in production processes, including equipment, raw materials, moulds, and downstream equipmentFamiliarity with relevant quality systems and certificationsSolid administrative skills, including managing documentation and recordsEffective problem-solving abilities, particularly in troubleshooting equipment and processesExperience in installing parts and related equipmentStrong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectivelyCapable of making quick, decisive actions, when necessary, especially in urgent situationsHigh emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and conflict resolution Minimum requirements:2-5 years relevant experienceGrade 12Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related technical field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
