Technical Agronomy Manager

Minimum requirements for the role:Must have a Honours/Masters degree in Agronomy\ Soil Science \ Plant ProductionMinimum 5 years relevant Agronomy experience would be requiredKnowledge of compilation of fertilizer programs is essentialKnowledge and experience of onions would be an advantageAbove-average communication skills, specifically in English and Afrikaans with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and experience are essentialMust have a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to clientsThe successful candidate will be responsible for:Preparing and co-ordinating varietal screening trials in multiple crops, including but, not exclusively Onions.Handling of complaints and supplying support and feedback to the Sales team in this regard.Providing weekly feedback to the Managing Director.Co-ordinating and providing product training.Presenting and assisting at farmers' days and agricultural expos.Interpreting data collected from various trials.Writing articles for newsletters, magazines and marketing materials.Conducting farmers' visits with the Production Advisors.Managing and evaluating commercial trials.Providing technical support to Production Advisors, Area Managers and Farmers.Please note that subsequent to the screening and shortlisting process, all further communication will be entered into, only with the shortlisted candidates
