Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Education: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in:Communication and MediaDevelopment StudiesSocial Sciences with a focus on Gender Studies or Social InclusionAdditional Qualifications: A background in Gender and Social Inclusion topics, particularly related to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), will be considered a strong asset.
Professional Experience and Skills: A minimum of Five years of relevant professional experience in communication and digital platform management for both public and private sectors.Demonstrated experience in integrating gender and social inclusion approaches into development projects.Proven project management skills, including experience managing consultancy contracts.Strong knowledge and understanding of:Gender equality principlesGender transformative approachesInclusion of people with disabilities, youth in fragile contexts, migrants, and refugees. What will you be doing?Lead and Manage the Gender and Social Inclusion Portfolio: Provide strategic leadership in developing and implementing a plan to integrate gender equity and social inclusion (focusing on vulnerable groups: women and girls, persons with disabilities, displaced and fragile populations, and migrants) into SIFA workstreams.Develop a toolbox to improve access to TVET for people in contexts of displacement and fragility.Spearhead the partnership with the ILO on Skills in Migration.Conduct a comprehensive review of existing resources on gender and social inclusion within the SIFA project, including knowledge products, processes, and interventions.Design and facilitate the implementation of evidence-based interventions that promote inclusiveness in TVET implementation through SIFA.In collaboration with the M&E unit, monitor and track gender indicators to promote gender equality, women's empowerment, and social inclusion across all SIFA outputs.Stay abreast of global best practices and trends in gender and social inclusion to ensure their incorporation into the development of activities (events, knowledge products, etc.).Map key stakeholders, including existing and potential partners working in the area of gender and social inclusion.Develop and manage external relationships with donors, partners, and other stakeholders, particularly those working in the area of gender and social inclusion specifically for TVET (e.g., ILO).Provide oversight and management to consultants supporting work on gender and social inclusion.Collaborate with AUDA-NEPAD on social protection and financial inclusion to ensure integration with SIFA workstreams. Lead and Manage the Communications Portfolio: Oversee the implementation of the project communications strategy and activities.Manage consultant resources for graphic design and technical writing/editing.Develop, write, and edit communications and marketing materials, including blog posts, social media content, press releases, and speeches.Ensure brand alignment across all marketing and communications materials.Collaborate with the SIFA team to ensure their knowledge products and processes align with SIFA branding.Support event marketing by developing and providing distribution materials.Manage and curate the SIFA social media calendar, posting content on relevant platforms.Foster collaboration with AUDA-NEPAD, AUC, and GIZ AU by aligning SIFA communication activities through regular meetings.Liaise with the M&E unit to report impact, develop change stories, and disseminate SIFA products.Maintain and update SIFA content on factsheets and websites.ASPYEE.org Management: Website Management and Content Strategy Oversee the external vendor currently providing website maintenance and overall management.Ensure the website's content relevance for the target audience by:Approving sourced and curated content (resources, news updates, events).Developing original website content as needed.Conducting stakeholder surveys to identify content needs.Uploading and managing website content.Monitoring website functionality.Develop engaging content for the ASPYEE forum to stimulate stakeholder participation.Implement a user tracking and evaluation system for ASPYEE, utilizing tools like Google Analytics.Lead communication and digital marketing efforts for the website, including:Developing a social media content calendar with daily posts.Crafting engaging social media content.Identifying and securing partnerships and champions to amplify ASPYEE's reach.Utilizing additional digital marketing channels to promote ASPYEE content.Executing email marketing campaigns to the SIFA database about ASPYEE content.Manage the collaborative partnership with ILO to integrate Labour Migration content on ASPYEE.Facilitate the institutionalization of ASPYEE by overseeing the handover process to AUDA-NEPAD personnel.
