Fruitways is looking for a dynamic Technical Advisor to join our team!
This pivotal role offers the chance to provide expert technical support and advice to our grower community.
What You'll Do: Harvesting Excellence: Lead the implementation of harvesting decision-making processes through effective coordination, communication, and on-farm visits.
Stakeholder Engagement: Keep stakeholders informed with up-to-date crop information and harvest strategies.
Information Management: Update and maintain our orchard and grower database, leveraging this information to drive effective crop management.
Program Management: Oversee special markets orchard registrations and delivery, collaborating with all stakeholders to optimise market access.
Quality Analysis: Collect, analyse, and interpret fruit quality data to generate insightful analysis and feedback to growers.
What We're Looking For: Educational Background: Degree in Horticulture or a related field.
Experience: At least 5+ years in a similar role with a focus on technical aspects of apples and pears.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer systems and a strong grasp of relevant technologies.
Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Analytical Acumen: Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
