Technical Support ConsultantOur client is an established company providing software and support to the financial industry. They are currently looking at recruiting a Technical Support Consultant who needs to be fluent in both Afrikaans and English and able to commute daily to their offices in Durbanville.Duties & ResponsibilitiesROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESAs part of the Support team, your responsibilities will include:Technical support to users - both internal and external to the companyCommunicate technical application requirements to developersSetup and maintenance of Company hardware and software systemsConduct testing of Company software against test plansRollout / installation of software to customersDocumentation of install proceduresWorking with service providersFirst line support to our customers on the Company's products in the Financial Services IndustryDesired Experience & QualificationQUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSAs an applicant, you will need a Higher Certificate / Degree that covers Network Design and Administration, Computer Systems, Databases and Networks, or similar at a credited institution.EXPERIENCEExperience in a technical support environment will be an advantage.PREFERRED SKILLS - TECHNICALProficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Product Suite.General knowledge of databases, preferably Microsoft SQL ServerProgramming with PowerShell, C# and/or VB.Net will be an advantageKnowledge / experience with Web services and APIs will be an advantageKnowledge / experience with Azure will be an advantageExposure to the financial services industry will be to your benefit
