Normanshire Care Services Ltd are looking to recruit a Team Leader for their supported living home for individuals with learning disabilities and autism.JOB DESCRIPTIONTo ensure support planning and risk assessments within each service are in line with the person centred principles and that they are reviewed within agreed timescales.To ensure that all relevant services have in place recovery tools and/or positive behaviour support plans.To ensure that the service complies with H&S and fire regulations and that regular checks are carried out.To ensure that particularly vulnerable people have detailed PEEPs in place.To have a full understanding of the service contract including the number of contracted hours and management off rota time.To effectively manage complaints and deal with complaints in a positive way which ensures that lessons learnt result in service improvements.To manage, supervise and develop staff, working to agreed standards, policies and procedures.To ensure agency staff usage is in line with annual budgets and contracts.To ensure the service has in place a pool of flexible workers which prevents excessive agency usage.To develop and improve service quality and to carry out announced and unannounced file audits.To carry out regular staff direct observation sessions.To coordinate day to day financial transactions within the scheme/service including monitoring budgets, petty cash.To complete planned and unannounced petty cash checks on a regular basis (if applicable).To complete the actions set out in the health and safety audit in the relevant timescales.To ensure that Normanshire care and Local Authority safeguarding policies and procedures for the protection of children and vulnerable adults are implemented, promoted and managed effectively within the area of responsibility.To ensure there are adequate service user consultation events in place at the services.To ensure all services work within the principles of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLS (when applicable).To have in place a training matrix which records and monitors the mandatory and standalone training needs of all members of staff.To have line management responsibility for up to 6-7 people and to ensure that supervisions are carried out at least on a quarterly basis.To adhere to QAF and/or CQC action plans to assist the service in achieving excellent inspection results.To have effective medication support procedures in place at the service if relevant.To have in place effective business continuity plans and emergency evacuation plan.To work on rota and deliver direct support/care to service users if required.To participate in 'On Call' service if required.Where appropriate to the structure of the service:To work shifts, including nights where required.Implement safe lone working practices.Medication management that meets regulatory standards and good practice principles.Person care management in line with regulatory standards and best practice.Work across one or more services.Transfer to other services or schemes when there is business need to do so.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentWork remotely: NoContract length: 12 monthsPay: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per yearSchedule:12 hour shiftDay shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityEducation:Diploma of Higher Education (preferred)Experience:Team management: 2 years (required)Providing care: 3 years (required)Language:Lithuanian language (required)English (required)Licence/Certification:Enhanced DBS Certificate (required)Work Location: In personApplication deadline: 19/08/2024
