You will lead a team of highly skilled and specialized scientists to deliver on all of our internal Actuarial Client data needs.What you will be doing:You will lead a specialist team and hold responsibility for ensuring delivery according to the Capitec recipe and agile way of work, within agreed timeframes and supporting the team through providing clear direction in terms of delivery, providing technical support, aiding in the development of goal plans, and assisting in the setting and achieving of career development goals. You will shape our data-driven future and will support the Product through a clear understanding of the business requirements for efficient support and development of appropriate analyses and reports.Our Ideal candidate has:An Honours Degree in Data Analysis or Information Technology - Systems EngineeringExperience gained in a banking/retail/financial services environment.Agile methodology experienceExperience in a specialist/technical support function Understanding of, and exposure to, DevOps and DataOps principlesMinimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Data Analysis or Information Technology - Systems Engineering5 years' experience in leadership or management role in the technology and/or data environment.Experience in an analytics role (Data Engineer, BIBA, BI Analyst) including experience in and understanding of database structure design and data extraction principles in an environment which required validating work.Stakeholder relationship principles, engagement, and managementResponsibility for delivery in a fast-moving environmentFunctional experience and knowledge relevant to the product.Some of the technical skills required are: SQL, Python, Systems development life cycle, database design principles, data modelling.Conditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit record
