About the roleAs Team Lead: Data and Analytics you will drive innovation and excellence in our Insurance Space, leading a team of highly skilled and specialized scientists to deliver on all of our internal Actuarial Client data needs.
What you will be doing:You will lead a specialist team and hold responsibility for ensuring delivery according to the Capitec recipe and agile way of work, within agreed timeframes, providing clear direction in terms of delivery, technical support, aiding in the development of goal plans, and assisting in the setting and achieving of career development goals.
Our Ideal candidate has:An Honours Degree in Data Analysis or Information Technology - Systems EngineeringExperience gained in a banking/retail/financial services environment.Agile methodology experienceExperience in a specialist/technical support function Understanding of, and exposure to, DevOps and DataOps principles5 years' experience in leadership or management role in the technology and/or data environment.Experience in an analytics role, including experience in and understanding of database structure design and data extraction principlesStakeholder relationship principles, engagement and managementResponsibility for delivery in a fast-moving environmentFunctional experience and knowledge relevant to the product.Some of the technical skills required are: SQL, Python, Systems development life cycle, database design principles, data modellingConditions of EmploymentClear criminal and credit recordCapitec is committed to diversity and, where feasible, all appointments will support the achievement of our employment equity goals.
