What will you do? In this position you will lead our Zutari Energy's Power System Studies and Network Modelling team mainly within the Tshwane and Cape Town offices, where you will play an integral role in executing our business plan for this region, aligned to our Resources Business plan and Zutari Blueprint 2025.

Responsibilities: Provide line management responsibility for an enthusiastic team of engineers and technologists.Provide ongoing technical and professional guidance to individual team members.Ensure training and coaching to Zutari Energy Power Systems and Network Modelling Team in line with individual and company objectives.Engage with key technical people within client organizations to ensure Power Systems and Network Modelling services are meeting client expectations.Support the completion of complex consulting projects that fall within the Power Systems and Network Modelling service offering.Act as technical lead and/or reviewer for consulting engagements.Manage time, scope, and budget of assigned jobs.Support and enable revenue growth in the Energy Market providing specialist advice as and when requested.Minimum Requirements: Graduate Degree in Electrical Engineering is required with a preference for specialisation in Power Systems or Network Modelling (A post graduate qualification would be an advantage).Professional accreditation or registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa or similar.Experience interacting with stakeholders.At least 10-15+ years of relevant experience.Highly proficient user of simulation software. Commonly used network simulation software is DlgSILENT PowerFactory, PSSE, EMTDC/PSCAD, and ETAP.Experience performing a range of studies including grid code compliance, power quality studies, dynamic performance studies and forensic studies, insulation coordination, protection coordination, switching studies.Proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable, as this role involves working with diverse teams and stakeholders across multiple regions.Zutari believes that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
