Tax Technology Specialist

Our Tax Technology team helps apply cutting-edge technology and techniques to bring solutions to our clients and internal teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with EY teams offering insights and provide perspective on how to continue to innovate and keep up with the ever-growing demands of the digital landscape. Specifically, the opportunity involves assisting as a technology specialist who leads technology initiatives, oversees the implementation, and ensures successful service delivery.
Responsibilities Innovation and Solutions: Implementation of innovative solutions that align with the company's strategic goals to enhance operational efficiency and drive business innovation. This involves evaluating new technologies, integrating systems, and developing digital strategies that will transform processes and provide a competitive edge in the market.Identify process improvement and automation opportunities within each Sub Service Line to improve efficiencies and margin.Data Analysis and Insights: Oversee the execution of data analytics activities, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and actionable insights.Collaborate with EY Teams / data analysts to interpret data, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations.Ensure adherence to data quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.Project Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans defining project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines.Coordinate resources and tasks effectively to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.Manage project dependencies, risks, and issues; develop mitigation strategies as needed.Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding project status, issues, and requirements.Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.Facilitate regular meetings and status updates to keep stakeholders informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.Team Leadership and Collaboration: Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring clarity on roles, responsibilities, and project objectives.Project Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor project progress, track milestones, and report on key metrics and KPIs.Identify deviations from plan and implement corrective actions as necessary.Prepare and present regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.Skills and Attributes for success: Ability to develop and deliver high-quality output against stated project objectives and meet tight deadlines.High level of drive, commitment to achieving solutions, and ability to work under pressure.Team player and leader who openly supports, encourages, and shares knowledge with colleagues.Analytical and adaptive skills to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalize these into a workable solution.Ability to engage with stakeholders and manage cross-functional projects.Highly organized and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change based on project needs.Attention to detail which results in a constant standard of quality and the ability to communicate the value and benefits of the project.Ability to identify areas for improvement in the operating model and the flexibility to identify solutions to make the improvements.To qualify for the role, you must have: Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably with an emphasis in business, accounting, or technology, and a minimum of 4 years related work experience.Business Intelligence and Data Analyst experience.Experience in designing, setting up, and managing project work plans and budgets; leading work streams for a large, complex program involving multiple, related projects as the project/program manager.Strong team and project management skills with an ability to work under tight deadlines.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills as well as a strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.Proficiency required in MS 365, including a very strong emphasis on the use of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint, MS Teams, and Visio.Experience with MS Power Platform, MS Power BI.What we look for: We are seeking to identify high-potential Seniors to deliver exceptional client service and enable the continued innovation of our practice.
