Tax Staff
Compensation: Pay: From $26.40 to $33.00 per hour (based on experience)
Annual pay can be calculated using an estimated 2,300 hours worked per year.
Example:
2,080 hours (40hrs*52wks) at $26.40 = $54,912.00 per year
220 over time hours at time and a half $39.60 = $8,712.00 per year
Total Estimated Annual Pay based on 2,300 hours: $63,624.00 per year
Position Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt
In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay Act, Compensation Differentials for this position are based on education, experience, training, and geographic location, as well as DWC's seniority and merit systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Partnering with Supervisors to ensure client compliance with tax regulations while minimizing tax burdens.
Preparing required tax filings and documentation, tailored to each client's unique circumstances.
Collecting and communicating all necessary data for accurate tax return preparation.
Utilizing cutting-edge compliance software to streamline the tax preparation process.
Assisting with tax consulting, recommending efficient methods to maximize client benefits and minimize taxes.
Applying your expertise in home state tax structures and filing requirements.
Drafting clear and concise memos and correspondence.
Identifying potential tax issues or opportunities during the tax compliance process.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a team.
Professional communication and documentation abilities.
