Reference: CPT000596-Tam-1Our client is currently looking for a Tax Compliance Officer who will be responsible for the full tax compliance function of the Individual and Trust tax clients in their Cape Town office.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThis position falls within the Tax Department and the successful candidate will report to all Directors.Obtain and collate tax related information from clients and third parties in order to complete the following returns:ITR12IT12TIRP6, 1st, 2nd and 3rdPreparation of ITR12, IT12T and IRP6 returnsPreparation of tax computationsAdherence to quality control manual and checklist when preparing returns for Director reviewSubmit tax returnsChecking and reconciliation of assessmentsAttend to all related queries and SARS objections and appeals (i.e. NOO, NOA, ADR1)Apply for tax clearance certificates (Good Standing, Foreign Investment & Tender)Registration of clients for Income Tax (IT77)Registration of clients for VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, WCA, etc.Perform EMP501 reconciliationsDaily recording of time on GreatSoft - manage productivity by achieving the agreed productive hoursStrive to achieve yearly KPIBilling clients with Director approvalLiaison with clients and managementAdherence to the profession's confidentiality requirementsAdherence to the firm's ethics and independence policiesGuarding the integrity of the practice administration systemMinimum RequirementsMinimum required qualification: Grade 12/MatricTax or other relevant qualificationMinimum of 3 years relevant tax compliance experienceMinimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounting or Auditing environment will be beneficialWorkable knowledge and proven application of relevant tax legislation and regulationsComputer literacy (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)Experience working with GreatSoft would be advantageousAccuracy and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure, meet deadlines and targets setExtensive theoretical and practical knowledge of the Income Tax Act and Tax Administration ActMust have a valid driver's license and vehicleKindly note that by submitting your application for this career opportunity, you agree that Guardian Recruiting may use your application for the purpose of the recruitment and selection of the said position, and this information may be shared with the relevant stakeholders in the business.
