Tax Compliance Officer

Job Description: A UK accounting firm is looking for a Tax Compliance Officer to join their team in Cape Town.
You will be a member of an established team focusing on providing tax services to a variety of industry sectors.
You will need to be a self-starter, able to work independently in carrying out reviews and managing a portfolio, client-facing, show willingness to work as part of a team, and be able to meet deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities: Overseeing a portfolio of clients for compliance matters.Preparing VAT returns and registration/de-registration forms for clients, while also reviewing compliance tasks completed by colleagues.Conducting VAT reviews as part of our auditing process.Delivering high-quality work and adhering to deadlines.Demonstrating strong client service skills, the ability to work independently, collaborate in a team, and negotiate effectively.Possessing excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally. Requirements: Between 3 and 4 years of total experience.UK experience is not a requirement, but advantageous.Previous experience in a professional services environment and dealing with HMRC would be an advantage.Previous experience in managing a portfolio of clients would be an advantage.Experience in providing tax compliance work is required.Microsoft Office experience required (particularly Excel). Salary: R30 000 - R45 000 per month | R360 000 - R540 000 per year
