They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Tax Compliance Officer to join a dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive tax services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing strategic advice. This role requires a strong understanding of taxation principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide end-to-end tax services to a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
Conduct thorough tax reviews and analyses to identify potential issues and opportunities for clients.
Advise clients on tax planning strategies to optimize their financial positions.
Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns using SARS E-filing and other relevant platforms.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure clients are well-informed and compliant.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather necessary information for tax filings.
Maintain strong client relationships by providing excellent service and addressing queries promptly.
Assist in training and mentoring junior tax compliance staff members.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures within the firm.
Qualifications and Experience:
A Tax qualification is essential.
3-5 years of relevant tax experience in a similar environment.
Strong knowledge of taxation principles and regulations.
Decisive and accurate decision-making skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
Excellent customer focus with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer Package Experience:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with SARS E-filing and other relevant tax software.
