Duties: Prepare annual audited financial statements in compliance with local legislation.
Conduct key calculations for financial statements.
Ensure compliance with local financial reporting and tax requirements.
Lead local statutory audits for relevant entities.
Manage timely internal and external tax reporting.
Oversee compliance with VAT, income tax, and month-end reconciliations.
Handle audits related to tax authorities.
Forecast tax and VAT for cash flow.
Ensure transfer pricing compliance and the timely receipt of withholding tax certificates.
Address audit control deficiencies within three months.
Maintain SOX documentation and compliance.
Review and release accounts payable payments.
Serve as a tax and VAT subject matter expert.
Collaborate with shared services to meet tax reporting targets.
Drive process improvements in tax and compliance.
Develop and complete annual internal audit plans across markets.
Conduct financial health checks on franchisees as needed.
Review reports and oversee audits by junior auditors.
Report on the internal audit function to the Risk & Governance Committee.
Support ad hoc audit projects for professional development.
Qualifications and Experience Required: CA(SA) accreditation is essential 3+ years commercial experience Experience in the FMCG or Retail space is preferred Applicants with an immediate or short notice period will be given preference
