RPO Recruitment is currently working with a leading Accounting Firm in Cape Town who is seeking a Tax Compliance Administrator to join their team.
As a Tax Compliance Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with tax regulations and managing all tax-related activities.
This includes preparing and filing tax returns, assisting with tax audits, and providing guidance on tax planning and optimization.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely tax compliance.
Responsibilities: Preparing and calculating Provisional tax and Income tax returns, and ensuring they are reviewed and filed according to required deadlines.
Identify and report assessment discrepancies.
Dispute processing and administration.
Submitting Dividends tax returns.
Completing assessment verifications.
Assets and liability schedules prepared.
Client payment letters drafted and sent.
Applications for tax clearance prepared accurately according to agreed deadlines.
Ensuring tax deadlines are met and tax records maintained in compliance with legislation.
Completing statutory registrations for clients such as for income tax, customs, PAYE, SDL, UIF and VAT according to legislation.
Responding to SARS queries courteously and without delay, and supplying the correct information needed.
Completing timesheets accurately according to deadlines and ensuring fees are processed timeously.
Requirements Must possess professional qualification; National Senior Certificate and relative degree, diploma or certificate in Taxation.
Must be a registered Tax Technician with SAIT.
3-5 years of experience as a tax administrator, handling a client base of 350+ clients.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, Greatsoft, SARS E-filing, Easyfile, ROE On-line, Financial Accounting, Statutory Reporting and Returns, Dispute Resolution and Tax Legislation.
