Tax And Compliance Manager

Key Responsibilities:Manage and oversee the companys tax function, ensuring compliance with all statutory tax obligations (e.g., VAT, corporate tax, PAYE).Develop and implement effective tax strategies to optimize the companys tax position.Ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns.Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the organization.Lead the compliance function, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.Coordinate and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.Conduct internal tax reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.Provide expert advice on tax implications for business transactions and strategic initiatives.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of tax and compliance activities with overall business goals.Qualifications and Skills:CA(SA) qualification is mandatory.Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in tax and compliance management.In-depth knowledge of South African tax laws and regulations (experience with international tax is advantageous).Proven experience with tax planning, audits, and risk management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Pastel, or similar).Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.High integrity and a thorough understanding of corporate governance.
