Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities:Full Accounting and Tax Function:Manage the full accounting and tax function of a client portfolio.Produce monthly management reports.Handle the full accounting function up to trial balance.Draft annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors using Caseware.Provide advice on all tax and accounting matters.Tax Preparation and Submission:Prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies.Prepare and submit provisional tax returns for individuals and companies.Prepare and submit VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies, and trusts.Attend to all SARS correspondence.File notices of objections and suspension of debt on e-filing.Client Interaction:Conduct yourself in a professional manner, adhering to workplace etiquette and professionalism.Travel to clients at various locations as required.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Matric Accounting Degree or Higher Diploma (non-negotiable).Completed articles.Professional Affiliations:Affiliations to SAICA, SAIPA, ACCA, CIMA, and SAIBA are preferred.Experience:At least 3-5 years of experience in an accounting environment.Working experience and knowledge of Pastel.Experience with e-filing is essential.Knowledge of Caseware is imperative.Skills:Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Competent in handling all SARS correspondence.Other Requirements:A valid drivers license and own vehicle (non-negotiable)Remuneration: R30 000 - R35 000 CTC **Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted**
