The Company The Five Points Brewing Company is an independent craft brewery in Hackney selling over 2 million pints annually. Our Taproom & Courtyard venue showcases our own range of award-winning craft beers alongside independent food traders, and a range of cocktails & natural wines.
Responsibilities
As a Bar Manager, you will ensure the effective running of the venue, working closely with the General Manager and covering all duties in their absence. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Acting as Duty Manager and key-holderOverseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the venue and barsManaging private hire events and functions, liaising with clients for smooth executionMaintaining venue condition, identifying and addressing breakages/malfunctionsAssisting with staff rota management to ensure appropriate staffing levelsParticipating in the recruitment and training of bar staffEnsuring timely ordering and effective stock controlManaging legal and licensing compliance for drinks sales, times, weights & measuresOverseeing Health & Safety issues, including fire safety, food hygiene, and first aidLiaising with police, council, environmental health, and other local agenciesAccurate cashing up, recording figures, and reportingPerson Specification Hands-on, reliable, and hardworking with excellent time-keepingAble to show initiative, be flexible, and work independentlyEnthusiastic and personable, with an interest in craft beer, independent drinks, and foodProven record of previous management responsibilities in hospitalityRequirements The right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
