Position Summary:
The Talent Specialist plays a critical role in recruitment and talent operations for the FirstLine network of schools.
They are responsible for digitally sourcing top-tier talent, managing recruitment operations and data, managing critical surveys, and supporting performance management.
Impeccable attention to detail, a strong desire to create efficient processes, and enthusiasm for collecting and analyzing data are key attributes for success in this role.
Position Responsibilities: Recruitment Operations: Serve as the system administrator for the applicant tracking system (UKG), making changes as needed and ensuring defined processes are used with fidelity across the organization.
Oversee FirstLine's referral bonus program and maintain the network staffing board.
Digital Sourcing:
Use sourcing platforms (LinkedIn, Indeed, Handshake, etc.)
to build a strong talent pipeline.
Actively seek out new sourcing channels to attract diverse and highly qualified candidates.
Post job opportunities to various boards, manage job posting credits and budget.
Data and Survey Management:
Use Excel and Google Sheets to clean and analyze recruitment and survey data on a monthly basis.
Track and report key performance indicators to ensure alignment with recruitment and retention goals set by senior leadership.
Use data to adjust sourcing strategies and improve the effectiveness of efforts.
Operational Process Improvement:
Proactively identify opportunities to improve recruitment operations.
Recommend and implement optimizations to increase efficiency, enhance the candidate experience, and ensure alignment with the network's mission and goals.
Performance Management Supports and manages the use of a performance evaluation platform.
This includes ensuring accurate staff lists and roles, creating and ensuring up-to-date forms and tools, and pulling data weekly to monitor progress and overall use of the system.
State and Other Reporting Ensures we have accurate talent data for local and state reporting as well as grant-funded initiatives.
Works closely with the data team to ensure all deadlines are met.
This will include COMPASS reporting.
Other Talent/HR Functions as Assigned Support team in broader talent and HR initiatives, including recruitment, onboarding, referral bonus and retention strategies, as needed.
Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in recruitment or human resources, preferably in education or a similar mission-driven environment.
Familiarity with charter schools or K-12 education preferred.
Skills and Characteristics: Excellent project management skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of organization and attention to detail.
Strong problem-solving skills and a growth mindset to continuously improve recruitment practices.

Education: Bachelor's degree required.

TALENT SPECIALIST reports to: Chief People Officer
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, starting $51,750.
