Job Opportunity: Tailings EngineerAn opportunity for a Tailings Engineer with around 4 - 7 years experience to join a top engineering consultancy's Centurion or Sandton office.The engineer would contribute to new and existing projects and assist senior engineers and project managers with surveillance of existing and design of new tailings storage facilities and return water dams.Desired Experience & Qualification4 to 7 years of tailings engineering experienceB Eng or BSc Eng in Civil EngineeringProfessional registration with ECSA is advantageousGood fundamental understanding and knowledge of soil mechanicsPost graduate experience in geotechnical engineering will be advantageousExperience in CPTu testing and interpretationExperience in geotechnical investigations considered advantageousExperience in related laboratory testing of soils and tailings material considered advantageousProficient in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS PowerPointExperience with slope stability, seepage analysis and FEM software, such as Geostudio.Proficient in AutoCad Civil 3D or ModelMaker
