IntroductionA position has become available for a Systems Developer to join our dynamic team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining information systems and software applications to enable the successful execution and achievement of SPAR Space Management's business operations.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREASSystem Design:Design, develop, and maintain software applications that facilitate space planning optimisation through collaboration with stakeholders to understand system requirements.Customise and configure the space planning software to adapt to the specific needs and processes of SPAR, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.Provide continuous expertise in relevant programming languages, frameworks, and tools necessary for software development.System Maintenance & Support:Monitor system performance, generate reports, and provide insights and recommendations to improve system efficiency and user experience.Oversee system maintenance, updates, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance, security, and compliance with industry standards.Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, code documentation, and user manuals.Security & Compliance:Adhere to security best practices in software development, including secure coding practices and vulnerability assessments to protect systems and data.Implement and enforce security measures to protect sensitive data within the space planning systems, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.Identify opportunities for process improvement within the space planning system and related workflows, optimizing efficiency and effectiveness.Stakeholder Relationship Management:Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams, including analysts, architects, and testers for system efficiencies.Work with relevant stakeholders to gather and define software requirements and collaborate with team members to ensure successful project execution.Engage with end-users to gather feedback to improve system functionality.Minimum Requirements:Matric.Computer Science, Information Technology related qualifications.3 Years experience in software development & system administration.Ideal Candidate Attributes:A high degree of self-management, adaptability & business acumen.Well equipped with compliance standards and development methodologies.Able to form collaborative relationships.Excel in transformation & diversity management.Kindly note: All applications are to be submitted through the Careers Site and Pnet.
