Systems Administrator

1.
Network Administration: Administer the companys network, ensuring high availability and performance at all times.
2.
Disaster recovery and business continuity: Administer the companys DR solution, ensuring full recoverability of servers, applications and network devices.
3.
Assist system technicians in resolving problems of a complex nature.
4.
Maintain stability of network and Gaming systems.
5.
Provide training relating to Cisco network equipment to systems technicians.
6.
Take responsibility for the IT environment during shift hours.
7.
Maintain service levels as set out in department policy and procedure guidelines.
8.
Maintain effective change control, compliancy, and report documentation.
Manage special projects from time to time, in accordance with ITIL and other bes 1.
Matric.
2.
CCNA Certification 3.
3 Years in I.T.
Networked computer environment 4.
Working Knowledge of Cisco switches and routers, wireless access points, IOS, Spanning tree.
5.
Working knowledge of Windows 2003 Server, XP Professional and MS Office products.
6.
A highly motivated person with good communication skills, initiative and the ability to self manage is required.
7.
The successful candidate will be required to work in a team environment.
8.
Shift work is an operational requirement.
