Responsible for administration, the co-ordination, configuration programming, installation, and management of ADvTECH IT architectures and related services with the enterprise. Responsible for administration, building, implementing and supporting system architectures, and for the identification and resolution of high-level hardware and software technical problems and malfunctions related to the network and related servers.
Advises team leader in the areas of performance analysis, problem solving, and infrastructure planning, with the potential to affect the successful execution of business transactions. Ensures a stable performance environment for the business processing system.
Participates in various ICT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the system infrastructure, ensuring change management procedures and methodologies are implemented and followed.
Proactively researches and locates the necessary tools and processes to identify and avert troublesome trends as they develop. Establishes systems programming standards and documentation requirements.
Provides reports and metrics to improve system availability and performance relating to overall systems health, thus providing a holistic management view with recommendations to alleviate or curb any current or prospective issues.
Responsibilities: Output 1 - Applications & Systems (New Systems, Changes and Deployments): Administrate, manage, and implement Systems and Applications changes. Administrate, manage, and maintain various environments for systems and Applications. Ensure adherence to quality assurance steps for systems changes and deployments. Ensure conformance with SDLC and take responsibility for the deployments of applications & systems changes to operations. Liaise with various teams to ensure handover procedures to operations are followed. Ensure maintaining applications & systems architectural standards. Ensure adherence to release management procedures. Ensure sufficient capacity planning for applications & systems by liaising with Infrastructure teams to commission resources. Ensure systems configuration changes are handled without adversely affecting operation. Output 2 - Business Systems and Identities Management: Ensures applications/systems integrations are operating at agreed SLAs (Uptime) to facilitate the successful execution of business transactions. Identification and resolution of applications and systems problems. Lead troubleshooting and resolution of Major Incidents. Facilitate maximum Incident Response procedures. Carry out performance analysis on systems and ensure systems maintain acceptable performance levels. Proactively research and locate necessary tools and processes to identify and avert systems and applications service depletion. Ensure continuous optimization of systems performance. Ensure systems errors are detected, logged, and resolved timeously. Administer and optimize ADvTECH Identities and integration services. Assist System Team lead with Identity management and report on system performance and statistics. Output 3 - Project Participation: Participates in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the systems and applications. Plan and assist with IT and systems projects to ensure optimal delivery and minimal disruption and or downtime. Liaise with other teams and team members within AIT to ensure the delivery of projects are done on time and within the parameters of best practice set out by AIT and governance. Participate in change control and other project-based governance forums to ensure AIT standards are followed and adhered to. Compile project reports to respective stakeholders outlining the status of tasks in a project and report on these in monthly reports. Output 4 - Identities Management: Support marketing and operations teams to ensure optimal uptime and user experience are met on the ADvTECH-used platforms. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure the smooth running of identities management (FIM/MIM). Participate in backups and disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity in case of a system failure or outage. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in system administration and recommend changes and improvements to existing infrastructure. Output 5 - Identities Systems Management: Manage user access: Responsible for managing user access to Power Apps, which involves creating and managing user accounts, assigning roles, and defining permissions for various users. Create and manage environments: Power Apps allows you to create multiple environments to manage your apps, data, and resources. As a systems administrator, create and manage these environments, ensuring that they are secure and optimized for performance. Monitor and troubleshoot: Monitor the performance of the ADvTECH Identities Management systems environment, troubleshoot any issues that arise, and resolve them as quickly as possible to ensure that the apps continue to function smoothly. Maintain data integrity: Ensure that the data stored in your environment is accurate, complete, and secure. This may involve configuring data connectors, managing data sources, and performing data backups and restores. Configure and manage connectors: Ensure that they are secure and optimized for performance for internal systems and vendor-operated systems that require identities integrations. Implement security policies: Define and implement security policies for the ADvTECH Identities Management systems environment, including policies related to data access, user authentication, and device management. Update and upgrade: Stay up-to-date with the latest features and updates. This may involve upgrading the ADvTECH environment to the latest version of Identities Management systems or implementing new features as they become available. SQL integrations and administration. Education Requirements: Minimum: Certificate / Diploma in IT MCSE Ideal: Degree / Diploma in IT MCSE SQL DBA ITIL Experience Required: 5 years LAN / WAN 5 years ICT industry experience 5 years Systems Administration 5 years Problem Management
