Switchboard Operator

Responsibilities:Work within a team of switchboard operators and handle 700 extensions.Screen and direct calls to the correct extension numbers or departments.Manage international calls.Assist internally and in directing queries to the correct persons or departments.Field and escalate complaints to the correct persons.Requirements:Grade 12 or higher qualification.1 2 years experience in handling a busy switchboard.Knowledge of Genysis system.PC and Keyboard Literacy.Must be able to work under pressure.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills willing to assist and go the extra mile.Excellent telephone and customer service skills.
