FUNCTION
The function is an overall summary of how the job specifically relates to delivering on the strategy of BRE and, more specifically, assisting the business in moving its current green energy investment portfolio from around R300m to cR600m, by successfully deploying and managing the capital into projects across Southern Africa, over the next three to five years.
The primary function of the position is to assist Broadreach's head of operations in managing the daily operations within Broadreach.
Duties will range from drafting contracts and updating CRM to dealing with suppliers and sales team queries.
ESSENTIAL CHARACTERISTICS
High attention to detail, accuracy and proficiency at managing work processes are a must.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
Motivation to research and investigate discrepancies, in order to ensure accurate financial models and contracts.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have the ability to work unsupervised for periods of time.
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
Ability to take accountability, responsibility and ownership at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification eg, legal secretary, credit analyst.
3-5 years work experience.
Experience in banking, asset-based finance, investments, legal or other credit-related businesses. Experience in renewable energy or infrastructure would also be advantageous.
SKILLS
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Excel.
Experience with Xero an advantage.
Strong numeric and analytical skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
Customer
Resolve client or sales queries and escalate problematic queries to the correct level.
Execute activities to ensure customer service deliver meets or exceeds customer expectation.
Relationship management with sales team and EPC's.
Follow ups and email responses.
Contracting
Review credit applications for technical approval and general accuracy.
Drafting of Agreements for Offtakers and EPC's.
Onboarding of new suppliers.
Operational
Ensure accurate uploading of information on CRM.
Monthly update and maintenance of approved EPC list.
Liaising with Insurance broker to ensure new projects insured.
Project management of operations and maintenance of all sites.
Project management of small solar PV installations.
Co-ordinating travel arrangements.
Financial
Loading of purchase orders on Xero.
Review of invoices received for payment related to projects.
Dealing with financial models in Excel.
Other tasks as required by the Head of Operations.
