Main job function Join the Movement to Green Africa!
This role requires a minimum of 3-5 years experience in the green building sector in South Africa. The ideal candidate will excel in managing international clients and projects, demonstrating the ability to efficiently handle complex projects, meet deadlines, and lead with inspiration and a people-focused approach.
Working within the Green Building Services Team, responsibilities include:
Project management Quality control Meeting deadlines Managing deliverables and ensuring client satisfaction Core qualifications include a postgraduate degree in environmental science or engineering, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic. Candidates should possess good project management and interpersonal skills, be adaptable to changing project landscapes, and be willing to take on leadership roles when necessary. Previous experience with green certifications like Green Star, Living Building, EDGE, or net zero is advantageous, with a Green Star AP certification being a must.
Qualifications Postgraduate degree in environmental science or a similar field Qualified as an Accredited Professional with the Green Building Council of South Africa (GBCSA) Must have successfully managed and completed at least 5 Green Star projects as a lead Certifications Experience with previous certifications (Green Star, Living Building, EDGE, net zero) will be advantageous Certification as a Green Star AP is a must Criteria Critical thinking skills Obsessive attention to detail Good project management skills Good people skills Exemplary work ethic Ability to push through to an end goal/outcome even if the project landscape changes Ability to take instruction and act on it precisely and to deadlines Salary: Negotiable
