Job DescriptionAssist with installation profiles (grades boxes) on level and inclined plane to aid construction and excavation to planned elevations.Set up theodolite on a coordinated and elevated survey beacon.Identify and report the need for survey beacon to be coordinated and elevated to Surveyor.Conduct Tachometric Location by Electronic Theodolite and Global Positioning System.Identify location of surface mining floor terrain, stockpiles, dumps, roads, trenches, etc.Know how to get measurements to assist with CAD drawings.Draw information from CAD drawings.Assist in conducting the required risk assessments.Assist in motivating team members to practice safe output - zero harm.Observe work area for safety hazards and unsafe work practices and report accordingly.Ensure proper usage of PPE.Ensure that housekeeping requirements are achieved in the area of responsibility.Participate in all required safety initiatives.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.Provide technical assistance when required to team members.Motivate team members to a high standard of work productivity, efficiency, and safety.Assist in control discipline and respond appropriately to deviations and behaviour.This role is at a B5 level reporting to Surveyor Technician.
