DESCRIPTION The Surveillance control room utilizes an escalation protocol whereby Surveillance Control Room Officers escalate their findings into a situational control room. The Surveillance Escalation Officer then handles this escalation operationally and enters feedback into the system.

Responsible For: Training & Development within Gauteng, management investigations, compiling statistics for Deep Alert & Vumacam working with excessive alerts.
Scope and Main Purpose of Job: Design, develop and implement training and development programmes within the company including any training academy, development program, performance team programs and various other training and development initiatives.Training and Development for all monitoring systems.Analyzing stats reports obtained from the alerting systems:Syntell – LPRVumacam – LPR/Unusual BehaviourProof 360MilestoneProof SearchAura (Safe City):DSS (Dahua Alerts)Deep AlertFind UListenerVideofiedATVVOverseeing the Excessive alerting and non-active alerting sites:Analyzing Excessive reports and identifying:High Alerting profilesHigh alerts camerasNon-active sitesIdentifying the reason for the high alerting and non-active alerting sites.Amending and developing the profiles to work functionally.In-person training with Surveillance controllers, monitoring and reviewing the progress of the training and development, and reporting back to management.Investigate live CCTV footage around the site to gather information for the operational teams and communicate information to them.Duties: Below duties are not exhaustive and additional duties may be added as required. Report for duty at least 10 minutes before shift.Hold tool-box talk with team before shift commences.Ensure a proper handover is done with the off-going shift.Be responsible for HR-related issues on shift.Ensure Surveillance Control Room Officers take approved breaks, with only two people at a time leaving the Surveillance Control Room.Ensure staff do not tamper with any surveillance equipment.Continuously carry out on-the-job training where required to develop skills.Ensure no unauthorized access is allowed into the Surveillance Control Room.All work carried out in the Surveillance Control Room is confidential and will not be shared with any individual outside of the Surveillance Control Room.Provide strategic approach to training, development, and assessment of skills and knowledge needed to develop, grow, and retain talent within the organization.Monitor and review the progress of trainees through questionnaires and discussions with management.
