MAIN PURPOSE OF JOBTo assess and coordinate emergency vehicles or calls to ensure a timeous response to incidents logged on Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). To assist in receiving, prioritising and logging emergency and non-emergency telephone calls and to determine the appropriate level of EMS assistance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASDispatch vehicles according to the CAD system.Assist in receiving, prioritising, logging, and processing all calls and alerts received.REQUIRED EDUCATIONESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Grade 12.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCEDESIRED EXPERIENCE: 1 – 3 years dispatching in an EMS contact centre.
REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGEDispatching of vehicles.Emergency Care.Typing Skills.English language (written and verbal).Geographical locations.Telephonic and email etiquette.All applicants will be considered, with the understanding that preference will be given in accordance with the Employment Equity Plan of Mediclinic Southern Africa, as well as internal applicants/employees that meet the minimum requirements.
