Supply & Logistics Manager Reporting to: Managing Director - Prax South Africa Location: Johannesburg Prax South Africa Ltd is a newly constituted entity, which has come about as a result of Prax Group's acquisition of a stake in a refinery and other related mid/downstream operations.
The company wishes to employ a seasoned Supply & Logistics Manager (with Oil industry experience) to be based in Johannesburg, to manage Prax's in country supplies for South Africa.
Supply activities include but not limited to: crude oil operations, replenishment planning, product scheduling, primary and secondary transportation management as well as relationship management of key stakeholders like SBM, TPL, NATCOS as well as Natref.
Key Responsibilities: Responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain as well as logistics plans.Responsible for sound management of Infrastructure partners, key industry bodies (BERA/SAPIA) as well suppliers/service providers.Plan and execute all supply and logistics processes optimising and delivering efficiencies along the value chain from raw material sourcing to customer order fulfilment. Monthly performance reporting to local leadership as well as Prax central teams.Active monitoring of competitor and market developments both locally and abroad.Directly responsible for ensuring security of supply across all locations in the company's value chain.Directly responsible for operationalising the company's 18 monthly S&OP Plan.Attend and contribute to industry body meetings (BERA/SAPIA).Develop internal controls and processes to manage operational risk appropriately.Inventory Management: Optimise inventory management for raw materials as well as finished product across all storage and supply locations.Lead the optimisation of the company's cash flow position through effective price exposure and working capital management.Feedback regularly to MD and central refining teams on product costs impact.Collaborate with Finance and Sales on business planning cycles as well day to day Sales and Operational Planning activities, provide challenge on customer under/over lifts.Develop risk register with mitigation plans to reduce company's overall price exposure.Performance management of direct reports.Skills, Experience & Qualifications: Relevant Business/Commercial or Supply- Chain Degree.At least 5 years' experience in team leadership.Minimum of 15 years of Oil industry-specific supply chain, refinery, optimisation experience.Advanced MS Office skills, particularly ExcelAbility to meet demanding deadlines, often with competing priorities, and Ability to absorb complex information operational and produce accurate, intelligent analysisEnjoys challenge and changeExcellent time management/organisational and multi-tasking skillsFlexible and adaptable in approachEffective communication and interpersonal skillsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Experience of matrix reporting work environments.#J-18808-Ljbffr
