Company DescriptionCome and join this dedicated team as a Supply Chain Supervisor where you will be responsible for the efficient coordination of the smooth flow of material from suppliers, including inter-production unit transfers into the Distribution Centre/Main Stores.The efficient control of material to avoid losses and/or damagesAccurately check the correct data capturing of stock integrityAssist in resolving queries relating to receiving and evaluation of returns to suppliersEffective utilization of resources in order to meet customer demands and requirements.Number of positions: 1Location of positions: ModikwaJob DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Ensure the operational department provides good customer serviceSupport customers for special ordersBuild business relationships with customers and suppliersIdentify more effective suppliers for customer needsEnsure that materials are handled in a safe and legal mannerAssess quality of suppliersEstablish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard proceduresEnsure that employees have clear work expectations and plansCommunicate effectively with managementIdentify potential conflict situations and minimize the implicationsControl discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding employee relationsFairly manage cultural diversitySupport the induction of new employeesIdentify ideas to increase motivationEnsure competency of employees for the work requiredAdvise employees on career opportunities and the requirements to achieve personal growthEnsure that required job instructions are available to employeesImplement and maintain applicable safety regulations, codes of practice and standardsComplete safety, injury, hazard, risk and incident reports for areaEnsure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintainedCompile accurate reportsConduct required meetings including safetyPrepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customersComplete audit administrationIdentify opportunities to improve operationsParticipate in improvement projectsSupport efforts to overcome operational problemsIdentify risks and threats to management proactivelyQualificationsGrade 12 or equivalent qualificationsMaterials Management/Logistics Diploma – 1 year minAdvantageous: Technical/Financial/Commercial degreeExperienceMinimum 5 years' experience at supervisory level in a supply/logistics management environmentSAP MM experience or equivalent – daily useRelevant materials handling equipment experienceKnowledge and SkillsValid driver's license code 08Computer literacy for necessary systemsAdditional InformationWho We AreWe aim to lead the industry by pursuing ever safer and more responsible ways of working, demonstrating integrity and showing care and respect for people and the planet.
