Company DescriptionCome and join this dedicated team as a Supply Chain Supervisor where you will be responsible for the efficient coordination of the smooth flow of material from suppliers, including inter-production unit transfers into the Distribution Centre/Main Stores.
The efficient control of material to avoid losses and/or damages.Accurately check the correct data capturing of stock integrity.Assist in resolving queries relating to receiving and evaluation of returns to suppliers.Effective utilization of resources to meet customer demands and requirements.Number of positions: 1

Job DescriptionJob responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Ensure the operational department provides good customer service.Support customers for special orders.Build business relationships with customers and suppliers.Identify more effective suppliers for customer needs.Ensure that materials are handled in a safe and legal manner.Assess quality of suppliers.Establish procedures for abnormal work requirements which fall outside of standard procedures.Ensure that employees have clear work expectations and plans.Communicate effectively with Management.Identify potential conflict situations and minimize the implications.Control discipline and ensure fair decisions regarding Employee Relations.Fairly manage cultural diversity.Support the induction of new employees.Identify ideas to increase motivation.Ensure competency of employees for the work required.Advise employees on career opportunities and the requirements to achieve personal growth.Ensure that required job instructions are available to employees.Implement and maintain applicable Safety Regulations, The Act, Codes of Practice, and standards.Complete safety, injury, hazard, risk, and incident reports for the area.Ensure that accurate labour records including overtime worked are maintained.Compile accurate reports.Conduct required meetings including safety.Prepare ad-hoc reports for management or other information customers.Complete audit administration.Identify opportunities to improve operations.Participate in improvement projects.Support efforts to overcome operational problems.Identify risks and threats to management proactively.QualificationsGrade 12 or equivalent qualifications.Materials Management/Logistics Diploma – 1 year min.Advantageous: Technical/Financial/Commercial degree.Experience Minimum 5 years' experience at supervisory level in a supply/logistics management environment.SAP MM experience or equivalent – daily use.Relevant Materials Handling Equipment experience.Knowledge and Skills Valid driver's license code 08.Computer literacy for necessary systems.Additional InformationWho We Are
