The successful candidate will need progressive sales experience and will need to demonstrate a record of sales growth in the air and ocean freight and clearing and forwarding industries.
If you've worked with industries such as chemicals, raw materials, dangerous goods, liquid bulk, project cargo, and general cargo, that would be an added advantage!Responsibilities:Facilitate processing of credit applicationsImplement the strategy for meeting sales performance targetsCost freight movements and prepare service estimates when requiredInterface with existing strategic customers to solidify mutual expectations of performance and growthMaintain and update client record informationProvide quarterly results assessments of sales activitiesAcquire new business as well as continued expansion among existing clientsOpen business development dialogs with strategic customersComply with the requirements of the quality management systemRequirements:Matric3 years Sales and Marketing related qualification at NQF Level 5Must have a clearing and forwarding, contract logistics, and warehousing backgroundIndustry experience such as chemicals, raw materials, dangerous goods, liquid bulk, project cargo, and general cargo would be an added advantageSkills Required:Solid 5-year sales track record within clearing and forwarding, contract logistics, and warehousingStrong consultative selling skillsStrong communication skillsNegotiation skillsComprehensive understanding of sales and marketing principlesGood knowledge of international trade principlesUnderstanding of air and sea freight forwarding practices and proceduresMin 5 years of progressive sales executive experience and a demonstrated record of sales growth for 2 years in the clearing & forwarding industryKnowledge of the local trading market and IncotermsUnderstanding of tariff calculation conceptsDo you fit this profile and have the clearing and forwarding, contract logistics, and warehousing sales experience required for this hunting role?
