We're on the lookout for an experienced Supply Chain Officer to effectively liaise with external supply chain service providers, supply chain and production planners, and relevant sales offices to maintain effective order execution, supply chain service excellence, and efficiencies for exports and imports.
As a Supply Chain Officer, you will be responsible for: Securing orders for shipment within high-pressured time frames ensuring global tender alignment and technical detail is maintained.Effectively implementing global supply chain procedures and controls to comply with the legal inter-company policies in place while ensuring goods are flowing to the customer in the most efficient manner possible.Working with central planners to adjust the master plan in line with SA Region S&OP requirements to maximise monthly sales.Utilising SAP shipping monitor, daily operational meetings, and carrier notifications to report and take action on constraints, interruptions, and risks to planned shipments within the area of responsibility.Monitoring sailing and billing accuracy daily and action invoicing within 24-hour timelines.Managing short shipment orders and exceptions within the supply chain process.Ensuring that all SAP administration is maintained as per the roles and responsibilities matrix, including work order management, rotable management, BOM's, time management, etc.Completing weekend and month-end standby duties as prescribed by standby procedures as and when required.Communicating professionally, proactively, and productively between mill, warehouses, sales offices, and external supply chain providers on order placement to shipment execution and final arrival at customer plant site.Attending S&OP (Sales and Order planning) meetings and raising items for action.Logging of NCRs on SAP relating to their area of responsibility.What are we looking for? Relevant NQF level 6 qualification (Diploma in business management, supply chain, financial management) whilst studying towards a relevant degree is advantageous.3 – 5 years related working experience within a similar environment.2 years' experience using SAP/APO, SAP TM, SAP CSR, EWM.Proficient in MS Office with knowledge of the sales and order process, export shipping function, customs, and carrier website systems is beneficial.Sappi is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
