Supply Chain Executive - Sales & Operations PlanningOur client, a market leader in the Supply Chain sector, is recruiting for a Supply Chain Executive - Sales & Operations Planning, based in Durban.The successful candidate will report to the Supply Chain Director.Purpose of the Role:Drive visibility and improvement of customer service experienced by customers and principals from order placement to delivery through continued alignment of key business functions on main loss areas and steps required to remedy. Ensure service aligns with contractual obligations and the cost of service is within agreed parameters.Duties and Responsibilities:Leadership of the Demand Planning sub-function within PlanningLeadership of the Supply Planning and Network Planning sub-function within PlanningLeadership of the International Planning sub-function within PlanningLeadership of above teams encompassing People (succession, development, and retention), Process and Technology improvementEducation and Experience:BCom Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain or similar10 years' experience in an FMCG (or similar) organisation spanning Planning and Distribution functions, with more than 3 years at Senior Management levelExperience in S&OP is an advantage, as is external engagement (customer or supplier-facing)Knowledge and Skills:Working knowledge of:Demand Planning processes and KPIsReplenishment Planning processes and KPIsSales and Operational Planning processes and KPIsImport and Export processes and regulationsCustomer Service processes and KPIsDistribution FunctionPassion for:Customer ServiceManagement of PeopleRoot cause analysis / short cycle feedbackLeadership across functionsStrategic review spanning People, Process and TechnologyDesired Experience & QualificationExperience in roles related to Supply Chain Executive, Sales, Operations, demand planning, and Forecasting.
