Job Purpose
To be part of the Supply Chain Solutions team that will develop integrated supply chain solutions to all products and within all industry verticals. To provide specialist technical support to the company's commercial functions in support of Business Development. To assist business in optimising internal processes and implementing best practice in executing supply chain solutions. To collect and analyze data as requested by the Business Development executive team and to report on the results of the analysis. Design reports and reporting mechanisms which includes tools such as statistics, graphs, images and lists. Provide overall support to Commercial Department as required. To assist with annual rate review and rate sheet compilation. Design and implement data structure and BI Dashboards as identified in the business for internal use and client-specific requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Qualifications:
Matric (Grade 12)
Industrial Engineering Degree
Data science qualification
CSCP certification an advantage
Advanced Excel
Power BI or relevant BI tools training
Experience:
At least 3 - 5 years experience in supply chain solutions development in the Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics and Transport Logistics field.
Demonstrable ability in design and implementation of integrated supply chain solutions.
Strong supply chain solutions development ability, and ideally has worked in a supply chain solutions development and implementation team.
Cargo Wise Operational and Administrative experience an advantage.

Technical project support of Business Development functions.
Analysis and Data Support to Business Development Director, Commercial Executive and National Sales Manager.
Analysis and Data Support to supply chain solutions engineering team.
Main activities of the role:
Develop analytics, systems and data management capabilities, including metrics and reports.
Conduct feasibility studies to determine the financial and operational viability of logistics projects.
Collaborate with various product management, senior management and decision makers to share information, problem solve and clarify management objectives.
Participate in the development of supply chain solutions for the company.
Monitor and analyse current trends in the market place and share information with the business development team as well as product managers where applicable.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of complete line of products/services and client business issues and needs.
Monitor and analyse trends in regulations, governance and other statutory requirements that may impact client and global supply chains.
Participate in marketing events, trade shows, exhibitions and company events.
Communicate product and service opportunities, information or feedback gathered through client activity to appropriate internal resources, including relevant business issues and industry information for utilization in development of market specific action plans and sales strategy.
Contribute to the performance standards of the supply chain solutions team to meet the dynamic needs of our clients.
Improve the measurement of the sales force outputs to increase visibility of immediate improvement opportunities.
Assist the business development team to ensure the achievement of agreed revenue, target profit and implementation of sales strategies.
